Religious Education (RE) for Children and YouthOur children's Religious Education program is currently based on the One-Room School House tradition. We welcome our children on Sunday and invite them to be a part of our service. They are encouraged to participate by being greeters, handing out Orders of Service, lighting the Chalice, helping with the offering and oter tasks. Our children begin each service with their parents, and come forward to hear the Story for All Ages. After the story, children may remain with their parents, or go to the RE table, where Unitarian Universalist themed arts and crafts are available for the children’s creativity and they are encouraged to explore the Seven UU Promises, the children’s version of the Seven Principles:
For junior and senior high school aged youth, there is an opportunity to be part of the Cedars UU Church youth group, which meets twice a month, alternating meetings between North Kitsap and Bainbridge Island.
